Be more concerned for the acceptance of your action than you are for the action; for, an action with fearful obedience will not be little. How could an action which is accepted be little?

All arrows were pointing towards Medina. A sign had been given, and preparations for the journey had begun. Those who would come on this journey that would change the flow of history and the calendar were taking their places in turn. The pressure in Mecca had increased so much that it was not even possible to open a window and take a breath of air. The one nicknamed “Very sincere” and “Very loyal” was thinking that the time had come for him. As a result of his sincerity and loyalty, he knocked on the door of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and asked permission for the journey. The Prophet postponed the trip saying, “Wait a little. Maybe Allah will give you a companion.” They waited until ignorance and darkness agreed to extinguish the light sent to the universe. This time the door knocked on was the door of “very sincere” and “very loyal,” and the person knocking was the Prophet. So they were going to set out on the journey together! They were companions on the journey! A prophet! Abu Bakr as-Siddiq was crying from joy…
He had believed as soon as the (more…)

It is the most unforgettable race in history, yet there are no spectators.
Of the two racers, the younger one draws a line on the ground; the starting line. They are going to begin running from that point. The older one ties his shirt around his belly. A strange contest; he will not become upset if he loses. He looks at his rival with love and proposes a race. Can you imagine it? He is the man whom thousands of people follow; he is the one who split the moon with just a single sign from his hand! On the way to Badr he asks smiling, knowing that they are on their way to the most important battle of all times:
“Would you like to race with me, Aisha?”
“Alright, Messenger of God!”
In a blink of the eye the race begins. The Prophet (pbuh) and his beloved wife begin to run. (more…)

Seeking acceptance and welcome.
We have come, oh best of refuges!
Bowed in humility and bewilderment.
Ask Allah to give us every help,
that we may attain our desires at the time debts fall due.
You have a vast power which is beyond compare,
and a message greater then any messengers. (more…)

We have been told by Sufyan ibn Waki: “Jumai ibn Umair ibn Abd ar-Raman al-Ijli told us: ‘I was told by a man from the Banu Tamim, one of the offspring of Abu Hala, the husband of Khadija, nicknamed Abu Abdi’llah, on the authority of a son of Abu Hala, that al-Hasan ibn Ali said (may Allah the Exalted be well pleased with him and his father):
I asked my maternal uncle, Hind ibn Abi Hala, who was“ an expert describer: ‘Describe for me the manner of speech Allah’s Messenger

“I have no power save to knock at Thy door,

He
had the most radiant coloring, deep black eyes which were wide set and had a sort of red tint to them, long eyelashes, a bright complexion, an aquiline nose, and a gap between his front teeth. His
face was round with a wide brow and he
had a thick beard which reached his chest. His
chest and abdomen were of equal size. He
was broad-chested with broad shoulders. He
had large bones, large arms, thick palms and soles, long fingers, fair skin and fine hair from the chest to the navel. He
was neither tall nor short, but between the two. In spite of that, no tall person who walked with the Prophet
seemed taller than him. His
hair was neither curly nor straight. When he
laughed and his blessed teeth showed, (more…)

He
was the most generous, the most valorous, the gentlest. He
cast his eyes down more often than up, and appeared shyer than a well-sheltered young girl. When someone came to him
with a happy face, he would take his hand.
When gifts were brought to him, he
would ask if they were alms or gifts. He
would accept the gifts and decline the alms. Yet the gifts did not stay in his hand or his house for very long. He
would give them away.
He
used to take off his shoes when he sat down, and bend and gather the skirt of his robe. He
would always sit on the floor with his knees pulled up to his chest. (more…)
